Chagos Archipelago (Diego Garcia)
The British Indian Ocean Territory lies to the North East of Mauritius in the central Indian Ocean. The islands, which form the Chagos Archipelago, is now administered by the Britian . The southern most island – Diego Garcia is known for its strategic importance since it hosts a substantial Naval presence of the United States. The Flora and fauna of these Islands are on the verge of being extinct as a result of the construction and dredging activities.

Seychelles
Paradise on Earth is what they call the Seychelles. Seychelles is an island nation in the Indian Ocean off the east coast of Africa. The principal island of Mahe has a population of about 50,000. The two other islands with significant permanent populations are Praslin and La Digue.

Comoros
The Comoros Island has an exquisite Arabian touch and mystique although its location is several miles away from the Middle East. Christmas Island
Historically isolated, Captain William Mynors of the East India Ship Company vessel, the Royal Mary, named the island when he arrived on Christmas Day, 25th December, 1643.

Christmas Island has a rich and diverse culture from her inhabitants who came to settle here for its phosphate mining industry. To have a glimpse of the different South and South East Asian festival, a visit to this Australian administered Island would be ideal.

Christmas Island also has a well developed Scuba Diving and Water Sports Centers. The Islands are famed for its warm clear water, untouched coral and exotic marine life.

The Cocos (Keeling Islands)
The Indian Ocean Island of Cocos (keeling Island) an Island territory of Australia is one of the last undeveloped tropical islands in the world. Its fine White sand beaches and exotic flora and fauna have attracted tourists from all over the world.

The Pulu Keeling National Park with its Red footed Booby Bird has drawn animal lovers to the Cocos. Water Sports and Diving facilities is also a major attraction for tourists here.

Reunion
